Coolaroo shots fired: Alleged targeted attack in north Melbourne suburb

A north Melbourne neighbourhood was rocked by the sound of gunshots overnight in what police believe to be a targeted attack.

Around 10.30pm on Tuesday, police were told two men were engaged in an altercation at the the intersection of Longford and Norval crescents in Coolaroo.

A man allegedly fired multiple gunshots at a 31-year-old victim.

Incredibly, he managed to escape uninjured and reported the matter to police.

Investigators believe the incident was a targeted attack.
